„Blink 6“ is the latest project by Marcus Klossek, the Berlin-based composer and guitarist.
For the past 10 years he has been performing and recording 5 albums with his tried-and-tested Electric Trio, now he has added a blowing section with 3 of his favorite musicians, making this unique sextet his largest project to date.
After an extensive writing period, Marcus Klossek was ready to introduce his new material, and the ensemble captured 8 compositions in the studio:

This multi-dimensional unity filters Klossek’s compositional explorations of melody, harmony and rhythm through the lens of six master improvisers, arranged in a way that allows the music to sound differently every time.
Music that features many influences and genres from contemporary jazz, experimental rock, new music and beyond as well as dynamic interplay between all the musicians.
The new album is set to be released in September 2023, marking Klossek’s 10th album as a bandleader and his third for Double Moon/Challenge Records International.
